Simon’s Heroes announce new corporate charity partnership with Hellmann UK

Simon’s Heroes children’s charity is thrilled to have been chosen as Hellmann UK’s latest charity partner. The new partnership will span over 12 months and generate much needed funds as well as raise awareness about the charity in the wider community.

Hellmann UK is part of Hellmann Worldwide Logistics Limited, one of the world’s largest family-owned global logistics companies. For almost 150 years, the multi-billion pound company has been offering high performance, individual solutions for transports of all kinds including Air & Sea, Road and Rail and contract logistics.  2018 marks 30 years of success for their UK division which continues to expand having opened another specialist distribution centre earlier this year, bringing their branch total to 9 strategically placed across England and Scotland.

Each year every branch selects a local cause to support for a 12 month period. Employees are invited to nominate charities and the company’s charity committee then creates a shortlist of 10 charities which employees vote on.  Hellmann UK’s charity partner scheme has raised thousands to date since it was set up in 2015 and hopes to generate at least £5000 for Simon’s Heroes.

Their partnership with Simon’s Heroes started on 1st August and fundraising is well underway with the Lichfield and Burton branches already raising £1000 from the raffle held at their summer event which celebrated the division’s 30 year anniversary. A further £719 has also been generated from their casual Friday initiative. Other fundraising events in the pipeline include a 12 days of Christmas-themed raffle to be held in December and their ongoing dress-down Friday where employees contribute £30 each over the duration of the year to wear casual attire every Friday.

Craig Smith, Chairman of Simon’s Heroes, said: ‘We are very excited about this new partnership and cannot thank the firm enough for choosing us. The fantastic amount already raised will make a big difference to the children that we help. We rely on the generosity of local businesses and the community to continue our good work.’

Jodi Raphael, Director – Multi Modal Sales and Road Freight Road Freight said: ‘Hellmann UK is proud to announce its fundraising support for Simon’s Heroes over the next 12 months.  The charities life-enhancing work supports underserved children with life-limiting illnesses in the local community.  We look forward to raising plenty of cash to help enrich more lives.’

Simon’s Heroes is a Tamworth based charity that aims to improve the quality of life and make a positive difference to children with life limiting illnesses.
