Thank you Heroes

A massive shout out to our wonderful Heroes who have raised valuable funds for Simon’s Heroes through our JustGiving page this summer.

Our very own heroes Kurt Bartlett, Kelly Prescott and Mark Cox who put themselves to the ultimate test.

Kurt competed in the Spartan Trifecta in April.
This race consisted of three stages:
Stage 1-The Spartan Sprint: a 5km run including 20 obstacles
Stage 2-The Spartan Super: a 13km run including 25 obstacles
Stage 3- The Spartan Beast: a 20km run including 25 obstacles…Phew!!!!!!!!!
This was by no means an easy task, but our man smashed it. Well done Kurt!

Kelly completed Equniox24
This is an endurance race. How many laps can you run in 24hrs???
Our Kelly completed her goal of 5 laps. A total of 50k!!!
Amazing running Kelly.

Mark, who has only just started running, challenged himself to 3 x 10k events.
Equniox24, which he ran 2 x 10k laps. His other event, is the Tamworth 10k, held on Sunday 7th Oct.
This guy is a natural, well done Mark!

One of our beneficiaries, Ellie Clover, completed her first 5k event in July ‘The Office Abbott Run’ to raise money for us.
Ellie suffered a Spinal stroke back in November 2017 which left her completely paralysed from the waist down and a permanent wheelchair user. Ellie wanted to show her appreciation for the help she received from Simon’s Heroes by the completing this event.
Ellie completed this race with shear determination and the will to succeed. Fantastic!

Thank you to our corporate sponsors Hellmann UK and PCE Ltd.
These companies have taken Simon’s Heroes to their hearts, and are supporting us in many ways.
Both are raising funds this year through various activities.  Hellmann UK donated monies raised from their Big Summer Raffle and a number of staff from PCE completed the Abbott Trail Run.
Well done everyone!

Finally, Dawn Hughes and her lovely team of ladies who undertook the Couch to 5k challenge.
These ladies decided to run The Abbott Trail Run and raise funds for the charity. None of them are natural runners but when you put your mind to something, it’s amazing what you can achieve.
Awesome effort ladies!

We would also like to thank everyone who has helped raise vital funds for the charity through other portals.

Your generosity goes a long way in helping children with life limiting illnesses.
