Following a 12-month charity partnership with Sainsbury’s Tamworth, Simon’s Heroes are delighted to announce that the store has helped raise £3657 for their cause!
The collaboration, which ran from July 2017- July 2018, is part of a national campaign which sees Sainsbury’s customers and colleagues nominating local causes to support at the heart of their community every year.
Simon’s Heroes won the public vote for the Tamworth store in 2017 and has benefited from a range of support such as fundraising in-store through cash collections in the foyer as well as awareness raising, volunteering and donations.
Sainsbury’s Local Charity of the Year scheme has raised more than £13million since it was set up in 2009. The supermarket chain’s goal is to raise more than £400million for charity by 2020.
‘We are thrilled with the amount raised – thank you Sainsbury’s! And a huge thanks to every customer and colleague that contributed and to our own members who volunteered their time to help support this partnership.’ Craig Smith, Chairman, Simon’s Heroes.
