Discount retailer, Home Bargains, has generously donated £2000 to Simon’s Heroes children’s charity, to celebrate the opening of its latest store at Ventura Park in Tamworth. The store opened on 26th March and marked the occasion by handing over a cheque to members of the charity.
“We are thrilled to have been nominated by employees at Home Bargains to receive this generous donation. The money will go a long way in helping us make a difference to the lives of local children with life-limiting illnesses.” Justin Haywood, Chairman, Simon’s Heroes.
The new 37,000 sq.ft store has created over 116 new jobs in the local community, employing over 120 staff and joins a family of over 575 outlets across the UK. It offers shoppers a range of products, including homewares, health and beauty essentials, fresh and frozen food. It even has its own in-store bakery and features a garden centre – GardenWorld at Home Bargains – that boasts a range of plants, soils and garden décor.
“It’s thanks to generous local businesses like Home Bargains, we can continue to support local children in need. We wish the store every success.”
