A 5-year-old girl suffering from cerebral palsy has been gifted a playhouse and visit from two Disney Princesses thanks to children’s charity, Simon’s Heroes.
Molly Williams, from Bolehall, was born with mild cerebral palsy and chronic lung disease as a result of her premature birth at 27 weeks. She also has an unsafe swallow and has to be fed via a gastrostomy tube.
Molly loves unicorns and princesses and as a treat, Simon’s Heroes arranged for Disney characters, Elsa and Anna, to attend her recent birthday party.
‘Molly was thrilled to meet the Princesses,’ recalled her mum Hayley. ‘What a lovely treat for her birthday and a memory we will all cherish.’
The charity also purchased and assembled a playhouse in the family’s garden; somewhere Molly likes to spend time, which will provide long-term enjoyment and a distraction from her medical conditions.
Molly’s brother Jack was treated to a family pass to watch WWE Live at Resorts World Arena next month, a sport he is a huge fan of.
‘We would like to thank all of Simon’s Heroes members for the fantastic gifts. You have made our little girl’s summer dream come true and made her brother’s dream come true too. You’re all amazing, thoughtful and caring. Thank you so much.’ Hayley Williams.
Simon’s Heroes would like to thank the members that gave their time to fulfil this project and also Tamworth Skip Hire and Mrs Wishes for their contributions.
