Simon’s Heroes Grants Molly’s Wish for an Electric Bike

Simon’s Heroes has stepped in to help local girl Molly, who they first supported several years ago. Now aged 11, Molly lives with cerebral palsy and, more recently, a neuromuscular disease that affects her muscles and nerves. Despite the challenges she faces, Molly continues to show incredible strength and determination.

As Molly grows, riding a regular bike has become increasingly difficult. Her ankles are unstable, and she often becomes very tired. To help her stay active and enjoy time outdoors with her family, Simon’s Heroes has granted her wish for an electric bike.

The new bike will give Molly the freedom to join in with her brothers and enjoy cycling without putting too much strain on her body.

Her mum, Hayley, said: “Thank you so much. Molly is so pleased. You have made her so happy.

“Molly loves her new bike — she hardly has to pedal, which helps her so much! She’ll be able to go out more with her family on bike rides now.”

Charlotte Abbott, Chairman, Simon’s Heroes said: “We’re delighted to have been able to make a difference once again to Molly’s life and wish her many happy adventures on her new bike.”
